Stockholm.– Olympic champion Felix Sanchez was beaten in the 400m hurdles by American Michael Tinsley who stopped the clock at 48.50 seconds at Friday's IAAF Diamond League meeting in Stockholm.

Tinslay avenged his defeat against the Dominican athlete at the just concluded London Olympics.

Sanchez, who turns 35 at the end of August, clocked 48.93 over a second more than the 47.63 he registered to win the Olympic gold medal last week.
