London.- Dominican Republic beat Britain 3-0 in the Olympic women's volleyball Group A on Friday, keeping the Caribbean country’s hope for a medal alive, after discouraging defeats in boxing and swimming.

 Russia’s team beat Japan 3 -1, to widen their points lead to 12.
