Santo Domingo.– Dominican athlete Felix Sanchez said he is not done competing yet, no matter if he has already won the Olympic gold medal twice in the 400-meter hurdles.
The sprint hurdler told Yahoo! Sports he will run for at least one more season in an effort to accomplish his goals at the world-championship level. Before he retires, Sanchez wants to become the only 400-meter hurdler to win three gold medals at the world championships.
According to Yahoo! Sports, Sanchez has made the most finals of any sprint hurdler. "I've been in six straight finals, and I want to be the most decorated 400 hurdler," he said after running the 400-meter hurdles on Aug. 30 in the Zurich Diamond League competition.
If Sanchez gets one more gold, he will be the only 400 hurdler to ever have three gold medals at the World Championships, but if not and he gets a medal, he'll be the most decorated and definitely the oldest to win a medal.
