Santo Domingo.-  The Aguilas Cibaeñas of Santiago and the Leones del Escogido of Santo Domingo won the playoffs of the Winter Baseball Series, and will play for the country’s championship starting tonight Friday.

Tonight’s game at Santiago’s Cibao stadium is slated for 7:30pm, when the Leones del will send right-hander  E. Valdez, who won 4 games with no losses in the playoffs, against the Aguilas’ also righty A. Castro, who won two and lost one in that series.
