Santo Domingo.- A cocktail party held on the fifth floor of Blue Mall was the venue for the Cap Cana real estate resort to announce the details of the Cap Cana Golf Cup 2013, to mark the 7th anniversary of the Punta Espada Golf Club.
The event, which will take place the weekend of November 1 to 3 to raise funds of the Forjando un Futuro Foundation, will be part of a calendar full of activities for golfers and their companions to enjoy.
Cap Cana Board of Directors President Ricardo Hazoury made the announcement, and stressed Cap Cana’s pride with Punta Espada Golf’s positioning throughout these years. “Cap Cana Golf Cup will be an exclusive event which will gather both the in the country’s best professional and amateur golfers as well as.”
Foundation President Pamela Betances thanked everyone for their collaboration with Forjando un Futuro’s work. "The Foundation arises with the concern to help improve the quality of life for those most in need. The first proposal is to create a child day care center with personalized attention and where education programs to parents to improve the quality of life of children and the community will also be implemented.”
Cap Cana’s Golf Cup will be played in the Scramble format, with categories (0-5), B (6 to 9) and C (from 10 onwards). Tournament scoring will be tallied in real time with VPar technology, through which all players can access the results once the round concludes. In addition, the Golf Cup will feature prizes such as hole-in-one, closest to the pin, longest drive, as well as other special awards.
Also present in the event were Punta Espada golf course director Efrén Garcia, Foundation Vice President Lissette Hazoury Lora, general Secretary María de el Pilar Sánchez, Treasurer Celia Vargas, and executives Maria Ros Rico, María Fondeur, and Eduardo Sanz Lovatón.
