Santo Domingo.- The continuous setbacks sustained in the process to tap the Dominican team concerns its general manager Moises Alou, but not enough to douse his optimism of winning the upcoming World Baseball Classic.
"Forget them, we’ll play a great role. Here there’re more than enough players," he said of the Dominican team in the ceremony to present the players, hosted by the sponsors.
He said he spoke Monday with manager Tony Peña, who’s in Tampa for the NY Yankees spring training, and agreed to include several more of the players who saw action in the recently concluded Caribbean Baseball Championship.
