San Juan, Puerto Rico. - Everything is ready in Group C, considered make-or-break, to enter into action, playing Thursday to Sunday at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium, San Juan, where two teams look to advance to the second round of the World Baseball Classic 3rd edition, EFE reports.

The powerful squads from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Venezuela, and newcomer Spain, come to the capital’s ballpark with the highest expectations to reach the final slated for March 19 in San Francisco.

Venezuela, a semifinalist in the 2009 Classic, is considered the favorite for boasting have some of the major leagues’ top figures, led American League MVP last season and Triple Crown winner, the slugger Miguel Cabrera.
