New York.– Two Minor League players have received 50-game suspensions without pay following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced Friday.
According to a press release, Chicago White Sox Minor League pitcher Pedro Rodriguez tested positive for metabolites of Stanozolol. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Minor League outfielder Angel Montilla tested positive for metabolites of Nandrolone.
Rodriguez, 22, and Montilla, 20, are currently on the Club's Dominican Summer League roster. Both suspensions are effective immediately.
