The capital´s Tigres score first Dominican winter baseball win

Santo Domingo.- SantoDomingo´s Tigres kicked off the Winter Baseball 2015-16 season with a 9-3 trouncingof their city rivals Leones at Quisqueya Stadium Thursday night.

Mel Rojas Jr. hit atwo-run homer while Roman Quinn drove in three and Yuneski Maya pitched five inningsand allowed two runs to give the Tigres the first win of the season.

It was the Tigres32nd win in winter ball with 29 losses.
