BMX Association awards its national champions

Santo Domingo.- TheDominican BMX Committee (CDBMX) and the Dominican Cycling Federation (FEDOCI)on Thursday awarded over 40 athletes for the events of the National BMX Championship 2015.

The riders from 10 clubsacross the country competed in six scoring skills and the group with the best overallperformance and points was also recognized during a ceremony, sponsored by ARSPalic, Red Bull, Cortez Hermanos, among others, in the Olympic Center Velodrome,attended by leading sports figures.

Among winners figure thefirst three places: Newton Garcia, champion; Jairo Gonzalez, runner-up; andBryan Marchena, third.

The expert winners wereJuan Nicolas Mejia, Pedro Pablo Mejia, Eduardo del Toro, Braylin Tavares, BorisLeon, Jeremy Marchena, Christopher Jordan, Frankel Rodriguez, Edgar del Toro andKelvin Peralta, among others.

While in the rookies competitionfigured Joseph M. Herrera, Lucas Mañon, Xavier Peña, Sebastián Munné, JoseGonzalez Jr., Jochi Gonzalez and Yoel Silverio.
