Yvonne Losos, first ever Dominican Olympics equestrian rider

Wellington, Florida.- Yvonne Losos on Sunday became thefirst Dominican athlete to ever qualify for the Olympics in an equestriansport.

The local rider secured s berth in the Games after winning thetop positions in finals of the city just west of West Palm Beach which ended March6. She won the only spot for all competitors from Central and South America.

Losos qualified with her horses Foco Loco and Dondolo, in anevent against the best athletes from Argentina, Chile, Puerto Rico, Uruguay,Mexico, Colombia and other countries were presented.

She thanked the Dominican Olympic Committee EquestrianFederation, and especially the program Creating Olympic Dreams (CRESO).

"Without the constant support of my federation, theDominican Olympic Committee (COD) and especially CRESO’d unconditionalsupported in recent years, I would not have been possible to achieve this dreamthat I share with my fellow Dominican Republic equestrians," Losos said.
