35th Casa de Campo Open returns this September

La Romana, Dominican Republic. – Casa de Campo Resort& Villas will once again host the Casa de Campo Open golf tournament fromSeptember 14-18, 2016, bringing some of the region’s best players to two of theCaribbean’s most highly regarded golf venues.

This international golf tournament, now in its 35th year,is part of the Casa de Campo Resort & Villas tradition and will be playedthis year at the world-renowned Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore golf courses.Designed by Pete Dye and built in the early 1970s, Teeth of the Dog ismeticulously hand-carved from the rugged rock and coral of the Dominicancoastline, and has earned its reputation as a hard-fought and challengingcourse. Dye Fore, also a Pete Dye-designed course, is a challenging cliff-sidecourse, characterized by spectacular views of the Dominican mountains, theChavón River, the Marina at Casa de Campo, and Altos de Chavón.

This event is a 54-hole Individual Stroke Play competitionusing the Stableford scoring system. There will be both net and gross divisionper classification for both men and women. Amateur Prizes will be awarded forboth net and gross winners per flight. First place will be awarded in thesenior categories.
