Dominican under-18 girls qualify for volleyball Cup

San Juan, Puerto Rico.-DominicanRepublic has ranked 7TH in the FIVB World Under-18 Championship bydefeating Mexico 3-0 on Tuesday.

The Dominicans dominated the semifinal with scores 25-18,25-16, and 25-21.

"We achieved the first objective which was to qualifyfor the World Cup, now we’ll celebrate a little in the clubhouse and preparethe strategy for the final," said Alexandre Ceccatto, manager of theDominican Republic.

Natalia Martinez topped the scoring in the match with 19points.

Dominican Republic will defend the title won two years onWednesday night, and secured the 2017 World Cup qualifying in Argentina.
