The new system is expected to improve this....

Zoom Picture

Santo Domingo. - Supreme Court (SCJ) president Jorge Subero headed the inaugural of a automated registry and management system (SIGAR), designed to simplify the real estate jurisdiction’s title registry process.

The system’s application will begin in the title registry office at Higüey (east) and in Puerto Plata, Samaná and Santo Domingo afterwards.

Program director Helder Tavárez said the new system will allow a file’s already digitized information available 24 hours in the consultations salon and cited the saving of paper as one of its advantages.

The announcement was made during a breakfast hosted by the Tourist Realty Companies Association for the SCJ justices.

Belly, I agree. Josean seems to be always pointing to a problem, but never a solution. I think we all have dealt with people like this. I usually don't pay too much mind to them.

because josean was born and raised and educated in a tar paper shack he has never had the need to own anything so he fails to see what a great step forward this can be in cutting red tape and land swindles

The light problem comes down to people not wanting to pay for it. Dominican Republic has more electrical plants than it needs but even when the prices have been set at fixed amount as low as the price of a couple of presidentes people still rather drink presidente than have power 24/7. We can't ask a investor to dump their money just we won't have to decide whether power or drinking and which is more important. Maybe we should give the british system of pre-pay electricity a try and start to bury the cables underground.

Isn’t that what right wingers call freedom of choice, the right to do what ever you want; sounds like a description of Hugh Hefner!

You follow Mr. Lopez advice:

Guys,

Nothing better than GC and Josean going at it.

Any bantering between them is more interesting than any featured stories.

Heck, a year or two ago I suspected they worked for DT, and their job was to get a story started, sort of like the practice some dance halls regularly exercise to get people on dance floor.

Anyway, they are both equally adept at dishing out a lot of verbal punishment to each other. They both have quick retorts, and fire their responses in quick, short blasts.....it is very entertaining. I further think that those who, over the years, have taken them on have not fared so well.

I like them both and hope they will never go away, for they offer more interesting comments than all of us combined-strictly my opinion!

No offense intended to anyone.

you should get clear title at the time the deal closes. I waited one year for mine. Sometimes it takes 2 years or more. un-bee-leevable.

maybe now, or in the near future, title policy will move faster?

Just like a DEMO always focusing on a problem then coming up with a late non Solution that way it looks like every one is benefiting.....Da Robbin Hood effect perfected by the anointed one in Washington D.C.
Only amusing him self and very few followers by the Day.
