Moca, Dominican Republic. - A Model Training Informatics Center (CMCI) built with millions worth of  equipment was inaugurated in the village La Hermita, in a ceremony headed by Jose Rafael Varas, head of the Dominican Telecom Institute (Indotel) to benefit the inhabitants of Moca, Espaillat province (north).

Is that news at all?
This is the information technology era if you didn't know it.

What do they have? the internet? that's new...

common though at least it's something.

Trust me I see through this little photo op, its as trasnsparent as glass. But the bottom line is some children got computers to suppliment their learning, and thats a good thing.

I only hope the children are able to look up our recent history and corruption and start asking many difficult questions to the teachers, principles, and parents.

Although they will most likely play games when the teacher is not looking.

Training of what? On how to use MSN messengerr and Hi5?
I see no progress, it just a computer room. Better education for the kids is needed.
