Port-au-Prince.– The American Digital University and the Center for Vocational and Technical Training signed a memorandum of understanding in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, to jointly offer online and distance learning technical courses and certification programs for students from Haiti Tec and throughout Haiti.
The digital university is centered in Sterling, Virginia, and the purpose of the collaboration is to encourage and develop a cooperative relationship between the two institutions including the offering of technical e-learning courses and certification programs as well as the development of special projects that will benefit both institutions and the country.
The partnership will make online course available to the citizens of
Haiti at a normal cost to the students. The online courses will be
offered in areas like office skills, information technology, nursing and
health care and other vocational or employment skills that will lead to
certifications.

Let your fingers do the walking..
The digital university is centered in Sterling, Virginia - is this in the DR?
I agree with the earlier comment DR should do more to educate their own citizens.
I would like to reply to some of the readers' comments: Dominican Republic has nothing to do with this initiative with Haiti-Tec. This Press Release has been sent worldwide, hence it has been published by Dominican Today, too.
