SD. Dominican Republic’s cement makers grouped in Adocem on Tuesday hosted the conference "High Performance Monolayer Pavement,” in the Public Works Ministry’s auditorium.

The conference sought to exchange knowledge and experience on the promotion and development of new pavement technologies through a durable alternative to conserve unpaved roads, such as monolayer pavements, comprised of a single layer, built by using the path’s existing soil.

"This panel forms part of our institution’s training program, and especially in this occasion when we want to introduce a highly advanced and widely used technology, the use of cement in roads and highways with major innovations and efficient technology solutions which provide the possibility of new uses for cement other than what we’ve traditionally known," Adocem Executive Director Julissa Baez said during the activity.

High Performance Monolayer Pavement = We just drop a thin layer of asphalt over the old road without grading or prep then we charge the Government full price

It is "High Performance" after all
