NEW YORK. - The body of the Dominican Nelson de la Rosa, who according to the Guinness book of world records was the smallest actor and comedian in 1990, will be emballmed and permanently exhibited in a museum in his country, the Dominican Republic.

The local New York Daily News and several other American dailies reported in today’s editions declarations by representative of de la Rosa, who passed away Saturday in a Rhode Island hospital, and not in New York, as originally published.

Andrés Durán, who managed de la Rosa, confirmed via telephone that his embalming and exhibit will take place after the body is transported to the Dominican Republic, after the Rhode Island forensics office concludes the autopsy and officially authorizes its handover to de la Rosa’s immediate relatives.

I think it's sick to have this man's body embalmed and place in a museum as an exhibition. Unless he wished this before his death, this man was a human being and deserves to be laid to rest. Seems like someone wants to cash in on this, which I am not surprised.
