SANTIAGO.- With the presence of thousands of customers, industrialists, executives and special guests, a new branch of Jumbo supermarkets opened to the public yesterday in Santiago.
Centro Cuesta Nacional (CCN) executive president Jose Miguel Gonzále zheaded the activity, affirming that with the new branch, Jumbo reiterates its commitment to its customers and demonstrates its confidence in the city Santiago.
"We expect to serve the immense region such as Cibao and to form an integral part of its increasing economy, to which we are initially contributing more than 350 new jobs," González said.
The more than 6,000 square meter establishment provides Santiago’s residents with a large variety of the family’s basic groceries, delicatessen, bakery and fish market. also prepared foods, meats, as well as sporting goods, toys, stationery, household appliances, hardware, furniture, cosmetics, garments, among others.
In order to provide good and speedy service for its customers, Jumbo features 29 cashiers and a large parking lot.
During the opening ceremony, Jumbo’s executives made a special donation of RD$600,000 to several non-profit institutions of Santiago.
The new branch is located in the intersection of 27 de Febrero and Valerio avenues, in the Las Colinas Mall.
