Clearly, Dominican women are among the most beautiful in the world. It is not an issue of class or wealth because I have seen striking beauty in all neighborhoods including the poorest barrios, resorts and gated communities.

And my Dominican wife is not making me write this. I consider myself lucky to found a nice Dominican lady. And when our newborn is a man, I will bring him there to find a wife.

Every time you turn around there is a pageant going on.
Is this all there is?
Please, no wonder you speak to some of these beauties and all they think about is the rich Prince coming on a horse to save them from their empoverish life!
Dont get me wrong. I applaud the fact that we are women that have more than most dont have but please lets just not forget that BRAINS(AN EDUCATION) ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN BEAUTY....

Another thing, if beauty is the most important key here, how come some of the men there dont appreciate it?
It has to be both hand in hand.

WIhtout a doubt, Dominican women are the most beautiful in the world, and yes I do have one as a wife.

I will also say that Dominicans in general are the best people in the world, regardless of DR problems.

Dominicans know how to live.

great observations, NYC. the reason why so many girls are loafing around waiting for the shining prince on the white horse is because in latin america too many women are watching novelas. they all seem to have the theme of the poor girl marrying the son of the petrolero. every poverty stricken, hopeless girl hopes to win some sort of matrimonial lotto; gringo will come. so instead of preparing themselves scholastically for a life of independence and self- achievement, they fret about the color

of their hair and other physical attributes. then in isolated cases they do marry some shining prince and end up annoying the crap out him by watching novelas all day!

Mike I, thanks. Believe. Men very seldom look at lower class women no matter how beautiful they are. Men who are educated very rarely want a woman who can not handle herself in a room with his collegues and those who do have a serious internal inferiority complex. Beauty can help you but if you cannot carry the rest with your own intelligence and charisma then its pointless. I have seen dom. men who are perfectly beautiful to look at but as soon as crossed the room spoke it was over. :(

Mike I, I dont know about you, but I personally will be bored to death with a man who will resitate cliches. No original thought.
Like I said earlier I have spoken with men who at the time looked like a 10 but sounded like a 2. :(
I dont know I guess men in general require no intelligent thought but look?:(

Mike I, here is an example. At a dinner party I went to recently. I spoke with a young man who is an entrepreneur, he looked like an 8 but the more we spoke the more he sounded like a 2. I asked him "what are your immediate goals" he gigled shily and said. "i cant tell you right now." I immediately ended the conversation and excused myself.

i know what you are saying , but men are more basic creatures than women, and far more superficial. generally speaking, the average guy isnt very bright; it is not only in the company of women that he shows up intellectual weakness. you see a group of men huddled together at a table drinking beer and talking, and not a single intelligent thought escapes anyones mouth for hours. the conversation either centers on themselves,or their escapades with women( mostly lies).welcome to the world of men.

I have three daughters (definitely a ZAFA, Mr. Junot Diaz) and my goals has always been to instill first, education and second self confidence. When they choose their various paths wether they become women such as michelle Bachelet, Miss universe or Mother theresa. we need to be supportive and continue to elevate young ladies aspirations. however we can't loose sight of the fact that beauty pageants are a cultural phenomenon in latin America.
