Santo Domingo.- Dominican Telecommunications Institute (Indotel) president  Jose Rafael Vargas and minister of Sports Felipe (Jay) Payano donated laptops to the athletes who won medals in recent regional games..

Heidy Rodriguez, winner of two gold medals in karate in the Pan-American Games  Santo Domingo 2003 and Rio de Janeiro 2007; Gabriel Mercedes, gold medals in Tae Kwon do in the Central Americans in San Salvador, Colombia, and in the Pan-American games in Rio, and Dionisio Gustavo, gold medal winner in karate in the Pan-American Games of Rio received a laptop.

The donation took place during the inautural of a digital salon in the Juan Pablo Duarte sports complex in Santo Domingo..
