Santo Domingo .- TV and music video producer Mario Hidalgo works in films together with an international firm, and which would contribute to develop the Dominican cinema

Hidalgo, known for his work abroad and in the country, strives to produce a Hollywood-style movie but mainly with Dominican talent, to be distributed in the Anglo-Saxon market next year.

He said the Dominican cinema needs to be opened up and not pigeonholed into a single format, making movies with a more commercial and international style.

They need to make good movies with good scripts, good production and good actors! The world will eventually be interested if they are good. They should go to international film festivals, for example the Cannes or Rotterdam International Film Festival, or the versions from other European cities.

That's the reason I want to participate in that movie..............
Hope they start taking it seriously, it has been proven we are good in funny movies but
haven seen anything really profectional from the Dominican cinema.
