"60 Miles to the East"

Santo Domingo. - Film director Jorge Lendeborg announced the opening of "60 Miles to the East," the first "Dominican reality film" May 26, with a gala premier in the Cinemateca Nacional, and for the public on the 29th.

Lendeborg’s new work, already shown to good reviews in international festivals, will be open in Santo Domingo’s Palacio del Cine, as well as in the Cine Circuito Digital nationwide.

The movie is about 28 Dominican boatpeople who risk their lives aboard yolas to try to reach Puerto Rico, crossing the Mona Pass.

josean get off leonel he is going to be the president for another four year wether you like it or not. we do not need the white again they have ran the country four times and gets what happen ok let me give you a little inside of it. first was jaun bosch and he was outsted, then was guzman and his daughter and son in law killed him he also killed all of our pigs to bring in american pigs what a guy, third was jorge blanco all the major banks crashed including the one of his personal adviser and four was hipolito and you know the rest. is that what you want to happen again. if you do we don't. and moreno he is just another loser. think for once that before you change the polictians you need to let the people know that they don't care about us just themself. next that comes will be more hungry than this one and will take whatever is lefted. I myself will not suffer do to the fact the i can get in and out of the usa without problem. take a step back and leave wise do the good work. loser

But if the PRD wins a big chunk of the population will start planning their yola trip... too bad the yolas can't make it all the way to europe

as i have learned from many years in this 'PARADISE'; anything can happen..and i hope it happens in one round because the chaos for the runoff will be horrific....personally i have my bags packed, just in case... no yola for me WE FLY
