Where are the non-white dominicans? Anyone who does not think that there is discrimination in the DR, should look at the members of these type of organizations and see whether non-whites are proportionately represented, and ask why?

Now discrimination can be hidden by saying people can't afford to be members, but dig a little deeper and ask WHY non-whites can't afford these types of organizations!

THe key thing is, if we don't make an issue of ethinic/gender/class inequality, those in power will never make an issue of it and nothing will ever change.

I noticed the same thing! Not shocking though. What is shocking is the hints of arrogance and and pride radiating from their smug faces. Each time I visit D.R. I'm disgusted by this type of not-so-subtle segregation. Interestingly, we criticize folks here in the U.S. for racist attitudes that are prevalent and deeply rooted in D.R.
