Santo Domingo.- The Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences( FLACSO) today opened its Diploma in Political Science conceived as a specialist program to provide students the theoretical and practical tools necessary to observe, analyze and discuss politics and policy.

The course began with a presentation on "The Politics in the Social Doctrine of the Church," by monsignor Francisco Jose Arnaiz.

It's impossible to stay "on point" with political science .. if it can be called a "science" at all .. FLASCO sounded so much like FIASCO .. I could not help it.

Flaco ?, I know that guy. But seriously, a political science program is good in theory, but the students will soon find the Dominican reality is what really matters. They will have to adapt to the status quo or remain clerks for the rest for their career.
