Santo Domingo.– Dancers from the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Spain and the United States are attending the the Fourth Contemporary Dance Encounter (Edanco 2008),  which opened last Friday at Sala Manuel Rueda at the National Music Conservatory .

This year the event welcomes the Silver Brown Company, from the U.S.A., Transit, from Barcelona, and Archodanse, from Haiti. Among the performers are Edmundo Poy, Ileana Balmori, Saul Ulerio, Tatiana Mejia, Dayme del Toro, Vicente Santos, Armando Gonzalez and Isabel Spencer.

The dance encounter is being held during two weekends: 1, 2, 3 August and 8, 9, 10 August. Tickets cost RD$200.

euromax that's a dumb thing to say, cubans Dominicans and puerto ricans are the same people why would u hate cubans if all they do is strugle with the Castro duo. Being from new York I only see difference between Dominicans and puerto ricans kind of like the situation with hatians in the island. PR think they r superior and dmonicans don't agree but I never had any problem with a Cuban

never had any problems with them jose_NYC?? , i have! they look quiet and nice in the outside but in the inside, they are evil and think they are superior, in a very ironic way.. with a little touch of being mean and always fighting.. :b

D.R should stay away from this kind of people..

you can't blame cubans for being smart and talented at what they do. I'm Dominican and I love my country but cubans seems to pass DR on everything but tourism. They r better athletes and students
