Puerto Plata.– Brugal Rum will sponsor the Puerto Plata Merengue Festival to take place 26, 27 and 28 September in this nothern city of the Dominican Republic.

The festival, also organized by the Ministry of Tourism, will include the performances of El Prodigio, Rubby Perez, Jose Pena Suazo, Bonny Cepeda, Wilfrido Vargas and La Kerubanda, among others.

The event, produced by Amable Valenzuela, will bring together merengue bands for presentations at La Puntilla, off from the Puerto Plata San Felipe Fort.

On occasion of celebrating his 40 years in merengue, Wilfrido Vargas will have the honor of closing the festival.

They look like some of the local news reporters on Univision, Azteca, and telemundo here in Houston. I have a buddy says he always gets caught watching the "Weather" on Univision and his wife gets pissed at him. He does not even speak Spanish!!!!

Do you expect everyone to do things that you approve of?

Brugal is a private company that employs 1000's of people directly and indirectly. Putting food on the table for tens of thousands.........What have you done?
