London, UK.- Young Dominican violinist Aisha Syed Castro, who was born in Santiago de los Caballeros and is a student at the Yehudi Menuhin School for talented young musicians near London, has won a contest in which three thousand young people from 20 countries took part.
Aisha Syed was awarded first prize, which ensures that she can fund the rest of her studies in the United Kingdom.
According to the School’s website, the late Yehudi Menuhin founded the school in 1963 and created the ideal conditions for musically gifted children to develop their potential to the full on stringed instruments and piano. The school now educates more than sixty talented boys and girls between 8 and 18.

Minor observation: Yehudi Menuhin must have been (Yehudi) Jewish; Aisha Syed Castro is at least partially of Arabic extraction (Syrian, Lebanese, Palestinian). Yet, nothing impeded Aisha Syed from winning first prize.
You see that's what I call Philanthropy. A true example of brotherhood!
