Boston.- Lizette Santana performed at the star-studded Latin Pride National Awards 2009 on Thursday, September 24, in Boston's Wilbur Theater, to recognize the most successful representatives of the Latino community in sports, film, music, education and fashion.

The annual celebration took place in the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month to commemorate and celebrate the positive contributions of the Latino community to the American culture.

Lizette Santana wore a gown by award-winning Dominican designer Lourdes Atencio-Libman, whose exquisite gowns were featured, along with the creations of other haute-couture international designers, in the book "I Do...: 100 Years of Wedding Fashion"*. Lourdes’s gowns were also recently worn by Miss Universe contestants.

She also presented an award to television former Univisión host and reporter Fernand Del Rincón for his outstanding achievements in journalism.

Others in attendance were Dominican Republic first lady Margarita Cedeño, the performers Frankie Negron, Chichi Peralta, Carolina La O*, the actor Cesar Evora and telenovela producer Juan Osorio.
