Santo Domingo.– World-renowned saxophonist Kenny G will bring his Rhythm & Romance show to the Altos de Chavon amphitheater in La Romana Sunday, 8
November.
Kenny G's most recent album, Rhythm & Romance, is a decidedly daring record for a saxophonist
who's never been considered musically adventurous. Inspired by his love
of Stan Getz's early bossa nova albums, the disc is a milestone in many
ways.
It's his first record nominated for a Latin Grammy Award,
in the best instrumental album and best engineered recording categories; it's his first project mixed at his home studio; and it's his first album after leaving Arista Records, his label home since debuting in 1982 with Kenny G.
The Grammy award-winning artist's show not only gives the
audience a chance to hear his more familiar tunes live but Kenny G
also strives to include a little bit of the unexpected in every
performance.
Tickets are VIP RD$3,500,
while general admission is RD$1,800.

If you were locked in an elevator with Charley Manson and Kenny G and Adolf Hitler and you had a gun with only two bullets ...what would you do ?? ................Shoot Kenny G twice

Someone would have to pay me $50 to sit through 20 minutes of his instrumental music. He has been washed-up since the late '80s. Sorry, not my cup of tea. ....Blu, love the .."shoot Kenny G twice", lmao.

You guys are brutal, but correct. Kenny G is weak beyond words.
Yet, the rich folks at Casa de Campo will love him and his lullaby music.
They better bring blankets for a cozy naptime.
Kenny will also love his golf vacation at CDC, paid for by the aristocrats.
It is good for my business....lots of residents of the capital rent homes for the weekend just to see him and pay top dollar. I am just glad someone is visiting La Romana....it is a ghost town for tourists.

I saw Kenny G at the Teatro National in Santo Domingo several years ago and I enjoyed his show and he had a very good band with him , I am not sure why this time he is only at Altos de Chavon but I am sure the overwhelming number of the patrons will come from the capital ..His music has universal popularity regardless of anyones wealth and I hear it played all over the capital .
Just one more correction to walnut ..there are very few aristocrats in CDC but a huge number of new rich dominicans and americans there who hopefully will improve in 2 or 3 generations

The DR seems to be on the recieving end of lame U.S. performers lately. Either Dominicans have more money to throw away or things are relly bad for U.S. entertainers.

It alway made me feel numb when someone would call Kenny G a "Jazz Musician", 'Cause I grew up listening to my dad's Brubeck album, Take Five is probably the first song I ever heard ! let's not even talk about Coltrane or Junior Walker. I'm not saying Kenny G is a bad sax player, he's just not what I consider true to the art.

glomarexplorer gracias ,actually I am not back in person in the DR but i am out of hospital and must have some cancer treatment for several months which I was informed was better to have in a specialist centre outside the DR ,,but at least I am feeling fine and ready to tackle the pwriters of despair here
