Santiago.– Santiago´s Centro Cultural Leon is celebrating its sixth anniversary with numerous activities and events during the last weeks, such as the traveling exhibit "Merengue, Visual Rhythms," that has toured seven cities in the United States.
Among the events for the celebration of these successful years promoting Dominican culture in the countrys, it was held a discussion with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and a special exhibition involving the Louvre is being coordinated.
Furthermore, the Santiago Chamber of Commerce awarded it a diploma during its ExpoCibao 2009 trade exhibit: "Centro Leon - principal effort to export Dominican culture."

This should serve as a model to other industries, "Giving back to the community and supporting the artists"
For the last few years ago I've been following this center and could say the aexhibition and artists are top notch.
Kudos for Leon Jimenez
