Santo Domingo.- HHS Foundation hosed a gathering for dozens of boys who were given hundreds of baseball equipment to low income baseball league, from generous donations.

Sonia Martinez, Executive Director, indicated that the foundation is able to hold these types of events largely due to its credibility in the community and its efforts in working, since 1998, in the areas of Health, Education and Sports.  In addition, she wanted to thank the foundation president, Hector, Algarroba, for his continuous work with the communities in the city of New York and its surrounding counties which donated these supplies for the children in Dominican Republic.

In that regard, Sports Director Rafael Espinal said that distribution of sporting goods was the first activity held by the foundation 11 years ago.  These types of activities help the kids in our communities stay away from drugs, in addition to helping them develop a strong body and a healthy mind.

This event was held at the foundation headquarters, Respaldo Las Americas no. 165, Ensanche Las Americas, Santo Domingo Este, on Saturday.
