New Jersey.– Dominican rapper Max Agende Santos was in New Jersey to tell the Perth Amboy High School juniors that they need to stay in school.

The 27-year-old member of the award-winning group Aventura freestyled across the stage, telling students how a strong education has helped his success.

Santos also sang two songs, "Special Someone" and "Foolish Games" from his upcoming solo album, "The Rise of the Phoenix."

No, he didn't leave the group. But reportedly Aventura is releasing their last album and the group wlll be splitting up soon to pursue solo projects. So you know what that means? Reunion album and tour in a few years to make some more money.

Cibaeno.....the original article from NJ based Star Ledger reported him as a rapper.....I think maybe its a reference to his new solo album "Rise of the Phoenix." The article did mention "bachata." But it also mentioned Santos "fuses" bachata, hip hop, and R&B.....So I guess he's headed in that direction. I think doing this for the kids is positive though. Using your celebrity to spread a positive message is always a good thing.
