Santo Domingo.- By far the most notorious of Dominican Republic’s ever-growing number of audacious drug traffickers, Rolando Florian Feliz took his fame right to his crypt with an elaborate display of a Pharos’ sense of the eternal.

His relatives had the tomb built large enough to fit a few worldly possessions, including a comfortable bed and exquisite Scotch whiskey.

The cause of his May 17 death by bullet wounds at the hands of a Najayo Prison official is still under investigation.

What's wrong with our Dominican people!
I'm sure they used the same dirty money that caused many deaths, suffering and tears.
Did they leave enough room for food for the Santos.

WOW !

Even in Death a reflection of a life lived.

Get this.....All over Mexico there a thousands of elaborate crypts depicting the "lives lived" of fallen Drug lords, they even worship the Female version of the Angel of Death to guard and protect them from each other [what the Catholic Church or Catholics think of that]. Nothing like praising illegal and immoral Human behavior.......

LOOK AT MEXICO NOW ! are we headed down the same path ?

PLEASE GOD HELP US, FROM OUR SELVES.

Divinna,

Which / what Santos are you talking about ?

Sad to think of all the hungry and needy Children in the DR who will never never receive any more of the deceased help in food, clothing, shelter and education.
A real role model........lost for ever.

I just wonder where all that money came from for such a lavish send-off ?
Just goes to show you...It's not how one earned "DA MONEY", but...How much one made while alive that really counts in modern Day Dom. Rep.
Maybe they'll even make a Saint out of Him then light some candles and make His Birthday into a Holiday, and make folk lore music History locally.
Thank God there are no more grave diggers in the DR like the story's my Dad used to tell me as a Child.....

OK. This is a little excessive baggage for where this gentleman is going. I could understand the bed and the Chivas and some of the other things, but the two pairs of female shoes atop far right corner piece of furniture?

He was, by DR standards, a manly man [remember that he did two women just minutes before he died]-so why the female shoes? Neither his wife or girlfriend were buried with him, so what would be the purpose of this obviously female accessory? Perhaps relatives just went overboard and, inadvertently, disrespected this man.

Anyway, this event was more for the living than for the dead. I guess his family really loved him, so let them give him the send-off they find appropriate.

Chillaxin201,
I believe no one should be glorified for that sort of Life style in Life or DEATH, I'm sure the family Loved Him, His direct Family are victims also. Think of all the Lives he must of destroyed direct or indirectly, pain and misery that to this day many other victim's Love ones of are still feeling the pain. Plus all the other crimes associated with that Life style.

Besides I assume "MOST NOTORIOUS IN THE DR" is a title EARNED not GIVEN.

Mexican Cemetery's are full of monuments praising Criminal Life styles all victims of gangland style Murders and look a Mexico today. Mexican Youth believe it's an excuse for survival, also many Mexican Border Youth look at that style of Life as an Honor and a sign of Machismo.
Let's just hope the next Gangland killing in the DR does not follow the example set and start a trend.
GOD SAVE THE DR.

GOD SAVE THE DR.

In a country where there is no electricity for 10-12 hours a day, this is ridiculous. To bury a drug dealer this way is saying that it is okay to sell drugs and be buried like royalty because you can afford it. This sends a bad message to the young people who work and study for their futures.

Catherine,
Your so right.....

Just imagine....The DR between point A---B mid point of Drug routes North.

Unlike Mexico the only thing missing is the massive Murders between Drug Gangs for their piece of the action.
Hit Death Squads who target Police and Federal agents and there Family's.
Hired Kidnappers who Kidnap the rivals family's only to Slaughter them after payment is made, and for that special touch.........BEHEAD them as an example.

The Drug Kingpins have even gone as far as too Challenge the Military, Mexico is a Country on the brink of total KAOS. Drug Kingpins manpower and weapons rival the Military.

The scary part would be the hundreds of Youth who would look at that Life Style and want a part of it.....Money, Cars, Flashy clothes, Woman and a pecking order among the SLIM of the Earth.

When your nobody, even SCUM is something....
Take care.
