Hector Acosta, El Torito..
Zoom Picture

New York. - Hector Acosta, known as 'El Torito' in show biz circles, was the big attraction in New York’s Grand Dominican Parade, held Sunday along 6th Avenue, from 36th to 56th streets, in Manhattan.

The thousands of his compatriots who painted 6th Avenue red, white and blue greeted El Torito with expressions of affection, which left him astonished with the manifestations of Dominican pride.

"People gave me a show of affection and support which we didn’t expect," he said.
