Santo Domingo. - The cement company Cemex announced the opening of inscriptions  for the CEMEX-Foundation’s New Latin American Journalism Prize, created to stimulate journalistic quality in the region.

CEMEX said the call for the contest opens with the modality for works of photo and text journalism, published by Latin America’s media from January 1, 2008, to December 31, 2009, as well as the category Tribute, to recognize an experienced master of the Ibero-America media.

The inscriptions may be filled in the Web site www.nuevoperiodismo.org in the section which makes reference to the Prize and where the participants may find all the details, as well as previous works.
