Another small but important development in integrating the DR into the modern flow of economic development. I expect more studies and capital flows will follow. The DR is well placed to be a major agricultural export platform within the wider Caribbean region. Sorting out the divergent market distortions will be difficult, but with enough incentives to lower and eliminate them, faster and more substantial economic developments will be gained.
