Santo Domingo.– The director of the National Symphony Orchestra, acclaimed Jose Antonio Molina, will conduct the orchestra for a concert of Antonin Dvorak music at the Carlos Piantini hall of Santo Domingo's National Theater, Wednesday 24 March, 8:30 pm.
With guest cellist Ives Dharamraj, the orchestra will perform Dvorak's Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in B minor, Op. 104, Symphony No. 7 in D minor of 1885, Op. 70, among other pieces.
Dvorak was born on September 8, 1841 in the Bohemian village of Nelahozeves, near Prague (then part of Bohemia in the Austrian Empire, now in the Czech Republic), where he spent most of his life.
He wrote in a variety of forms: his nine symphonies generally stick to classical models that Beethoven would have recognised, but he also worked in the newly developed symphonic poem form and the influence of Richard Wagner is apparent in some works.

Are these people in the orchestra Dominican? etienn01?
That’s another Josean, not me, in case anybody was wondering!
They live in the past and refuse to promote new music. Music that could actually make money and allow the symphony to privatize and flourish.
If it was you ,you would be playing the symphony in F Flat ( Fernandez Forever) ha ha ha ha ha !
