Jarabacoa is great for rappeling and rubber boat rafting specially after it has rained a lot and the river waters are coming down with a vengeance.
You computer nerds get off your butts and visit Jarabacoa soon.
There is a small colmado in the entrance of town run by two sisters and their mom, they have the best cold "Presidente" and the two twenty some year old girls are real pretty and friendly.

I live in Jarabacoa, one of the best places by far in the country. Check out the Gold Panning adventures as well as the other outdoor activities. Virtual tourist has a lot of info on Jarabacoa as far as hotel reviews, things to do, etc.
