Punta Cana.- The East Zone Hotels and Tourism Projects Association awarded the “Hotelier of the Year" prize to the hotel Ifa Villas Bavaro manager Carlos Ruiz Jiménez, for his outstanding work with and experience in the industry.

The event also recognized Kelin Medrano from Politur, Peter John Thomas from Amstart DMC, Don Simón Barceló from Barceló hotels and "Resumen Turistico," which got a special mention for 20 years supporting sustainable development in the country.
