then just as i thought Melia is a cheeseball outfit but then again thats why they are in Cuba where the wages go to the government..... the lowest form of exploitation by capitalist swine...Hotel chains like Ritz and Four Seasons and Wyndam and Banyan Tree will steal all the best employees...with higher wages

Yeah wages will remain the same and the peso and US dollar will be worth less value. The trick is to come up with additional revenue streams that are creative and attractive to the tourist and get him off the property and spend $$ in the local economy...

The market is...what the market is.. here. One of the reasons for rapid growth in the region is the pool of cheap and quiet labour. it will be some time before Punta Cana has an infastructure in place that wiil have tourists spending more money. Most high end items that would appeal to the jet set, can be bought at 25% less at home...why buy here????

This area also seems to be growing without regulation, nor care for the environment...mangroves filled....mixed debris for landfill...no parks or public areas...just walls...walls and more walls.
Nothing like visiting another country and feeling like you never left home...whats the sense in that...I ask!

Gollet....you seem to lash out without knowing who you lash out at...thus your credability becomes in question...paint everyone with the same brush...depending on what group they represent. Have you any idea what I do here??? Thought not.

Somedays you gain points based on your opinion...today you've lost more than the stock market on Friday.

Best be informed than assume...
