Great option for those who seek smaller hotels instead of the giant all inclusive resorts. I've been a few time to Las Terrenas, the last time was at Las Cayenas hotel and I enjoyed very much!

I do have to agree with gouletcolonial that the name, although doesn't sound gay, it does sound a little like a swinger's hotel.

Here we go again, more Hotels, resorts and again in the name of PROGRESS that's 2 more beaches i won't be able to visit next time I'm in the Dr...Don't get me wrong guys ! but i can't help but think of all the added pollution, trash and smog are we tourist mania or what ! where more is better, just think of it this way tourist come to the Dom. Rep. for it's natural beauty, right ! how long will this last ? not to think of more under payed jobs for the locals, what a deal....Did you see the news lately..China is taking drastic measures to avoid the nasty smog that looms over it's city A REAL BREATH FULL, HUH !....Man makes, man destroys.....All in the name of MORE, MORE PROGRESS, I don't know about you guys but I'll sleep better tonight knowing it.

Swaying Palms .. sounds a little like coconut trees being ripped apart during hurricane season .. no problem as long as the price is right .. the ocean is warm .. the food is good .. the view even better .. I will be "swayed" .. call it anything you like .. there's no beating a Dominican resort ..

MRIOS...Take a trip to Jaguar National Park...With no fresh water, resorts, and of course no smog. just be ready for a long trip. The only way in besides your own plane will take at least 5 hours. But it's worth the trip. be sure to stop by SanRafael beach on the way, no smog there either.

I will take your advice and on my next visit to the Dom. Rep. I promise I will visit Jagaur National Park and San Rafael Beach even if it takes me 10 hours after all I've never been there and the farthest I've been east of Bani was Las Playas Salinas, and just so there's no miss understanding.......... I'm not against progress, I welcome it, BUT we also need some kind of control when it comes to our national treasures, we need to protect our Countries Natural Beauty, and I would like to see development where more then just the owners benefit, spread the $$$ that's all. You know after spending a couple nights in San Carlos near where I was born with my Aunt and uncle I could not help but think HOW DID WE GET TO THIS POINT anyway ? no, It's not going to take a gun/knife wielding street robbing Punk to make me realize something has to be done, I will not point fingers at anybody, until I'm willing to do something myself, we have a long way to go.
