Women are already empowered by God .. Do you know what would happen to a man if he tried giving birth to children? You don't want to know. Maybe men also need to be empowered. So they become as strong and as smart as women. Amen.

Got it, but be honest, most of the women down there are expecting that their beauty will bring them a millionaire for a husband, and that she would be cater to hand and foot, if not, then how come these poor souls are so arrogant with most of the time NOTHING TO OFFER. I interact with them baffled and keep my mouth shut, its pointless.
they need a reality check.
We are empowered I will give you that. but not enough to say that we are known for our brains.
Instead we are looked upon as focus on image rather than substance

In this particular contest they are promoting the Eden Real Resort .. but that's what these beauty contests are usually all about .. commercial advertising for the promotion and sale of merchandise .. the contestants are secondary .. a mere means to an end .. the primary objective of the Miss USA, Miss World and Miss Universe contests is selling beauty products that profit the pharmaceutical industry .. the common denominator is MONEY.

Got it!
Unfortunately, most people focus on the features not the substance, in other words, why dont they promote the intellect of women and encourage the same to advance the needs of the country. Ex: environmental issues, moral issues, support for advancement in technologies.

It would be great if all corporations operated with a broader range of objectives in their corporate ethic .. the world would be a much nicer place to live .. Microsoft Corporation is trying .. by promoting health issues like malaria prevention .. cigarette smoke warnings .. HIV AIDS education .. nutrition .. issues that are close to the heart of their Chairman Bill Gates .. in fact Bill recently stated that he wanted to see a major change in the ways companies operate .. in essence advocating a new form of capitalism ..

Unfortunately most corporations are dedicated primarily to the ethic of minimizing costs and maximizing revenues ..

lol, ironically, I work for a nonprofit biotech who is involved in these issues and we are funded (mostly) by the BMGates foundation and other gov'ts around the world.
