Havana.– Cuba was one of the most popular tourist destinations among Canadian vacationers during the first three months of this year, 100,000 more the amount who visited the Dominican Republic.
According to Statistics Canada, 505,000 Canadian tourists visited Cuba during the said period, accounting for a 35.4-percent increase compared to the first trimester of 2007, while 405,000 visited the Dominican Republic.
At the same time, more than 590,000 Canadian tourists travelled to Mexico during the aforementioned period, accounting for a 7.2-percent rise in contrast the first three months of last year. The three tourist destinations altogether were visited by more than 50 percent of all Canadian travelers abroad, excluding those who visited the United States.

Someday the US will drop its travel restriction to Cuba. Any guess what will happen to tourism here? If we are doing so poorly with all the tourist $$$ now, what will happen when it starts going to Cuba?

There are no restrictions from Canada to Cuba and still DR gets 405,000 tourist... Everyone assumes that if Cuba becomes libre they would completely dominate the caribbean.. THIS IS BULSHIT
