Santo Domingo.– As a way to assist foreign visitors to the Colonial Zone of the Dominican capital, the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) will open a Tourism Information Center at the Herrera-Borgella Palace in 2010's first quarter.

The goal is that tourists who visit the Colonial Zone, most of whom are arriving on cruises, feel comfortable, well received and with the highest levels of information and documentation, as well as access to the latest technological equipment and high quality health services, said Tourism Minister Francisco Javier Garcia Fernandez.

During the meeting between Garcia Fernandez and Cardinal Nicolas de Jesus Lopez Rodriguez, other topics were trated, such as incorporating a religious monuments tour route into the national tourism agenda.

I love the Colonial Zone and visit it every time I go to the D.R. Nothing will keep me away from it.
