La Paz.– Bolivian authorities are ready to launch the state-owned airline BOA, which will fly domestically during an initial period.

Boliviana de Aviación (BOA) is awaiting certification to start up operations, with an initial capital of 15 million dollars allocated by the government to take the first steps in the field of commercial aviation.

With that capital, BOA opened its offices, hired personnel and rented two 150-seat Boeing 737-300 planes and plans to rent three other aircraft this year.

Another appropriate name for the airline might be Flake Lines.

If they can get way it (another way to steal the people's money) they will probably do so.
It's called a boondoggle.
But if buit in La Paz, or Cochabamba, it will have to be an elevated transit system since it's "so high" there.

There was actually a previous "National Airline" that went bankrupt in 2007. You will notice that this airline is leasing aircraft since the previous airline did not keep up with maintenance and all 11 of its planes are grounded.

Oh ahora si lo coji, barbaraso. Sadly the paragraph reminds me of the famous quote from Dizzy Dean after he was hit in the head by a throw, “The doctors x-rayed my head and found nothing". next time, be as explicit as now.

I hope the leasor's got some collateral from the Bolivian Marxists for when they start losing money (immeidately) and don't like the terms of the leases.

Capitalist is built on unregulated leverage and is nothing to be sorry for. We created a significant number of new millionaires and billionaires around the world before this meltdown. So, if Walmart, China and other nations got caught in the game "made in the USA" , suck it up.

China is a capitalist nation under a "communist" dictatorship, very different from what Mao created. China is not a stupid marxist nation, they understand that they've made mistakes in the past and that the path China has chosen now is the best. The chinese government itself has said that "becoming rich is glorious". I remember when some communist politicians refused to meet with some chinese government officials in the DR a while ago, because they considered the chinese to be fake communists. In my personal opinion, China should not become a democratic nation, they should stay a capitalist dictatorship, call it "communism" or whatever. This is what is working for them.

Moron, I'm not talking about individual freedoms.

There are a lot more freedoms today in China than there were in the 1960's, when it was more like the marxist "utopia" you want. People in China can own their own business, can travel abroad (to authorized destinations), over a hundred million internet users (pornography and sites promoting rebellion against the governent and democracy propaganda is illegal/banned), people can choose to eat at a McDonald's or a chinese restaurant, etc. You see, The People's Republic of China is a pragmatic and more responsible nation than what it used to be. It also is wise enough to keep a firm grip on its national interests. Call that what you want, but it's way better than the irresponsible marxism you have wet dreams about.

"people can choose to eat at a McDonald's "

Is in the UN Declaration of Human Rights as the definition of Freedom?

Wow, you just don't get it. And please don't even talk about freedom to me. Let me put it this way, China's style of "communism" allows more freedoms and opportunities for its people, than the ex-Soviet Union's marxist communism, or North Korea's. China is smart enough, unlike the ex Soviet Union, to understand that in order to rise as super power and maintain that influence, then they need to "play" the game every other first world nation "plays" (business/capitalism) and try to beat them at that.

pragmatism over paranoia.
