Santo Domingo. - The international company AMResorts and the real estate and resort group Cap Cana signed an agreement for the construction of two hotels at a cost of US$200 million, with operations slated to begin by yearend 2010.

The agreement stipulates that AMResorts will develop a hotel of the chain Zoëtry Pearl Sands Cap Cana and another of Pure Secrets, on a privileged location on the resort’s beaches.

“We expect Zoëtry and Pure Secrets will attract the attention of sophisticated travelers in search of pleasant experiences,” said AMResorts president Alex Zozaya Friday.

“AMResorts is pleased to join the outstanding and residential tourist complex Cap Cana and it’s our desire to develop two exceptional properties that meld perfectly with the destination’s natural beauty and ecological approach,” he said.

Cap Cana president Ricardo Hazoury welcomed AMResorts and its brands Zoëtry and Pure Secrets Cap Cana. “Both new hotels will be a great attraction together with the customized services provided to guests, who’ll be part of the demanding travelers attracted to Cap Cana.”

Zoëtry Pearl Sands Cap Cana will be the second hotel under the mark of the recently launched luxury hotels Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts.

“In Zoëtry, each guest receives luxury services and an unrivaled vacation experience with access to elegant facilities, gourmet food service, entertainment options and a large variety of unique attributes designed for the physical and emotional well-being of guests,” Cap Cana said in a statement.

It said the new and exclusive hotels feature amenities for adults in romantic and tropical settings, elegant rooms and suites with customized concierge service.

I like that the hotels feature amenities for adults. Leave your kids at home or take them to Ocean World!

The Mexicans are coming, the Mexicans are coming.
They already bought the airport management concession from the Hazoury's now Cap Cana.
They have to be Mexi-cans instead of Mexi-cant's and be more than just carpet baggers.
Judging by the Claro Codetel company and its "getting worse with time", customer service is a
real bad track record to overcome, even if they wanted to.

Professor Generoso, i am delighted to read your posting regarding Codetel. i was without internet for 12 days, and, had i not pestered the offices on a daily basis, my service would probably never have returned. talk about miserable customer relations! institutions like that will drag us kicking and screaming into the 15th century.
