SANTIAGO.- American Airlines, founding partner of the global alliance oneworld®, celebrated its 7th anniversary of service in Santiago’s Cibao International Airport. And to mark the occasion a merengue band played to delight its customers, employees and terminal’s personnel.
It also held drawings in each flight with two complementary upgrades to executive class, as well as a roundtrip ticket to the United States, as well promotional articles for customers.
“We are pleased to arrive at this 7th anniversary of operations in the Heart City, thanks to the support of our public in the Cibao region, which has been manifested through the increasing demand which our services have experienced through the years,” said Oliver Bojos, director of American Airlines in Dominican Republic.
“American reiterates its commitment with Dominicans when maintaining excellence in the attention to which the national traveler is accustomed to,” added Bojos t.
In that regard, American Airlines airport general manager Sergio Lopez said the company is grateful for the support received throughout those years, because they bring the Cibao region’s passengers closer to important U.S. and world cities daily. “We’ll continue working hard and enthusiastically to repay our customers’ loyalty, offering quality service to this productive region of the country.”
“American began service to El Cibao on June 15, 2002 with a flight from Santiago to New York’s JFK International Airport, simultaneously receiving the first flight from Miami, bolstering its commitment with the Dominican Republic even more,” the carrier said in an emailed statement.
