Santo Domingo.– Glendale advertising agency BVK was selected to create a marketing campaign for the Dominican Ministry of Tourism.
BVK said Friday it will create what it calls a strategic destination marketing campaign for the Puerto Plata region on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic.
Puerto Plata was named the Silver Coast by Christopher Columbus and is surrounded by beaches, tropical forests, waterfalls and other towns. It is a few hours flight from most U.S. cities.
BVK will develop a destination Web site and a media strategy targeting travelers. The strategy will include social media, public relations, online strategies and special events.
