Chicago.- Dominican Republic’s name echoed throughout Major League Baseball, when around 35,000 fans were treated to a "Dominican Night with the White Sox,” in their first game of a series with the Anaheim Angels

Tourism minister Francisco Javier Garcia was present for the event where Dominican singer Sonia Alfonso sang the United States Anthem, and the country’s Folkloric Ballet displayed typical dance and music, to a rousing applause.

Chicago Dominican Tourism Promotion Office director Patricia Perez said Apple Vacations, the U.S. top tour operator, sponsored the activity, in addition to hotel chains such as Catalonia, Palladium, Iberostar, AMResort and Majestic.

"As part of this event the Tourism Ministry implemented strategies aimed at the consumer and Chicago’s main producing agents, such as a reception in the stadium’s main suite, where Apple Vacations’ main executives attended, as well as more than 100 travel agents," she said.

Perez added that as part of the "massive ad campaign” conducted , a tribute was paid to Dominican baseball careers, a consumer promotion was held in various points of high traffic at U.S. Cellular Field, raffles and Dominican week end trivia activities.

Too bad they don't serve Presidente at all MLB parks. Al least in the major markets they should sell it.

Why ? the only reason it gets sold anywhere in US Market is because Miller /SAB distribute it

And the one distributed by miller still does not taste the same. Its close but not exact. Presidente could Dominate the Dominican areas in USA. Im tired of drinking Becks and Heiniken just to get a similar beer to Presidente

I am almost certain that the alcohol content for Presidente beer for the US market is lower than what is sold in the DR.

Could it be that Presidente wants the people to keep traveling back to DR for the real beer?

the flavor of the beer is still the same to me. i think that temperature plays a big factor. presidente has to be served almost to the point where it is borderline iceberg! k rico!

Sorry, but Presidente sold in DR is the same as the Presidente exported.
Bohemia is the old presidente non-export beer from the same old plant.
The bottles even blow up after 10 weeks and inventory runs out before Semana Santa, Xmas, etc.

Name facts and post links whenever you make such a firm statement of facts. The official allowed alcohol content in the USA for spirits is lower than in other countries. In Japan for example sake is sold with higher alcohol content than the USA. Same with beer, again Presidente beer alcohol content is lower in the USA than the one sold in DR, that is why it freezes better in the DR and doesn't ice up in the bottle.
I said before that I was "almost certain" just because I did not provide links, but you can to correct me, instead of blowing hot air.

that is a logical conclusion ....that the alcohol is slightly lower for export ....Tax is paid on alcohol content and a point would be considerable on quantity also since the marketing gimmick {Brilliant}of practically freezing the beer in Presidente boxes where the thermostat can be set with some exactitude cannot be duplicated in the Mass market .of the USA ...why bother?

pealut,
You are wrong. Just do a blind taste test at home with some friends. Real Dominicans can tell which one is the Presidente sold in DR
